How We Work

At AlpineRoot Technologies, we run every project on a clear, structured process so you always know what stage your website, app, or brand build is at and what happens next. We do not believe in vague timelines or scope that keeps drifting. Here is how we work with our clients from first enquiry through to a live, performing product.

Step 1: Discovery Call

Every engagement starts with a free discovery call. We want to understand your business before we talk about websites. We ask about your customers, your competitors, what has worked for you before, and what has not. We listen more than we talk in this call. By the end of it, we have a solid picture of what your business needs and whether we are the right fit to deliver it. If we are not, we will tell you straight rather than sell you something you do not need.

Step 2: Scoping and Proposal

Once we understand your goals, we put together a detailed scope. This covers the pages or features required, the technology stack, timelines, and a fixed price wherever the project allows it. We break down exactly what is included, what is not, and what would trigger an additional cost. Our proposals are written in plain English. If you need us to explain a technical term, we will, but you should never need a glossary to understand what you are paying for.

Step 3: Agreement and Kickoff

Once you approve the proposal, we send through a simple service agreement outlining scope, price, and timeline. We answer any questions before anything is signed, and we are open to reasonable adjustments if your needs shift slightly at this stage. Once signed, we set up your project in our system, assign your team, and schedule a kickoff session to confirm goals, brand assets, content, and access requirements.

Step 4: Research and Planning

Before a single line of code is written, we research your industry, your competitors, and your customer journey. For SEO and content-heavy projects, this includes keyword research and a content plan. For design and build projects, this includes site architecture, user flow mapping, and technical planning around your chosen platform, whether that is a custom Next.js build, a WordPress site, or a Sanity-powered CMS.

Step 5: Design

Our designers produce wireframes and visual concepts based on the research phase, tailored to your brand and your customers rather than generic templates. We present design concepts clearly, walk you through the thinking behind key decisions, and gather your feedback. We build in rounds of revisions as standard, so the design is genuinely yours before we move into development.

Step 6: Development

Once designs are approved, our developers build the site or app on modern, secure infrastructure. We build mobile-first, test across devices as we go, and keep performance and page speed front of mind throughout, not as an afterthought. If your project includes eCommerce, booking systems, or custom functionality, we build and test these components thoroughly before they ever reach a live environment.

Step 7: Review and Refinement

As key milestones are completed, we walk you through the work in plain language. We explain what has been built, why certain technical decisions were made, and how to use any dashboard or content management system we have set up for you. We welcome feedback at this stage and make adjustments within the agreed scope. This is your chance to make sure everything matches how you actually run your business.

Step 8: Launch

Once everything is approved, we handle the technical side of going live: domain setup, hosting configuration, security certificates, and search engine indexing. We test everything again immediately before and after launch to catch anything that might have shifted. We keep you informed throughout so launch day never feels like a black box.

Step 9: Post-Launch Support

Every AlpineRoot project includes free post-launch monitoring and support. We track performance, fix any issues that surface once real traffic hits the site, and make sure everything is running as intended. Our support is available every day, including weekends, because we know business problems do not stick to a Monday-to-Friday schedule.

Step 10: Ongoing Partnership

Launch is not the end of our relationship. We check in on performance, flag opportunities for improvement, and remain available as your business grows and your digital needs change. Many of our clients move from a one-off build into an ongoing SEO or maintenance arrangement once they see the difference a properly built website makes. We see ourselves as a long-term digital partner, not a one-off vendor, and we back that up by actually being there when you need us.
